Message: Very interesting. I live and work in the semi-arid, high desert portion of the Northern Great Basin. Grass is sparse, but so is everything else. Might work here.
Please put me on your e-mail lists for future information.

Message: I'm a breeder of registered, fullblood, Fleckvieh-strain Simmental cattle. In many ways, the Aubrac cattle shown on the website appear phenotypically similar to Fleckvieh cattle--with a) color of Brown Swiss or b)Gelbvieh. Pie Rouge are the French strain of Simmental, and these cattle don't share that many characteristics of the "typical" French Simmental.

Message: Looks to me that this breed of cattle has the potential to play a greater part in the "industry of the future". As grain becomes a more valuable commodity we must change our mindset in the specific kind of cattle we produce. I have not been around aubrac cattle but the literature in the website sounds encouraging.
